Gamer's Dish

So, we’ve seen our fighter games across the ages. We’ve had Mortal Kombat, Dead or Alive, Soul Calibur, Marvel vs. Capcom, Street Fighter, Tekken, the list goes on. But wait, I did just mention Tekken and Street Fighter, and actually they finally get their chance to do a cross over and pummel the living crap out of each other.

Capcom took the development on this one so when players do play, it will be more of in the Street Fighter style. The storyline of course in this game revolves around the conflict between members of the Tekken series and members of the Street Fighter series. (Besides, giving away too much won’t make you guys want to play.)

However, there is an impressive list of characters in this game. From the Street Fighter side, playable characters include: Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Cammy, Guile, Abel, Dhalsim, Sagat, Rolento, Ibuki, Poison, Hugo, Rufus, Zangief, Vega, Balrog, M. Bison, Juri, Akuma, Sakura, Blanka, Guy, Cody, Elena, and Dudley. From the Tekken side, playable characters will be: Kazuya, Nina, Asuka, Lili, Heihachi, Kuma, Paul, Law, King, Marduk, Hwoarang, Steve, Bob, Julia, Yoshimitsu, Raven, Jin, Xiaoyu, Ogre, Lars, Alisa, Bryan, Jack-X, Christie, and Lei. And of course there are the easter egg characters (exclusive only to the PS Vita and Playstation 3) include: Mega Man, Pac-Man, Toro, Kuro, and the main character from the Infamous games, Cole.

With a line up like this, what fighter fan isn’t going to want this crossover? Being a fighter fan and loving the classics, I’m definitely craving to play this game. It will be made available on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 6^th. The release date for the PC will be on May 11^th and the PS Vita will have its debut of this crossover later this year in the fall. So get out there, beat the living crap out of some of the characters and have some fun doing it!
