News: Team Fortress 2, Meet the Medic and…now free to play!
Valve has released Team Fortress 2 for free….forever. So what’s the catch?
There are now two diffrent “account” types for TF2. If you have downloaded TF2 for free and have not made a purchase in the in-game Mann Co. store, you will have a free account. The free account lacks some features, but does not effect gameplay.
If you’ve ever spent money on the game, you’ll have a premium account. Premium accounts include some extra features such as access to rare and cosmetic items through random item drops, the ability to store more items in your backpack, and more powerful trading and crafting abilities.
